As soon as you have applied to UTSA and have your myUTSA ID, you are encouraged to apply for on-campus housing. The UTSA housing application typically opens around November 1 for the following academic year. Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis (with the exception of Themed Residential communities). Follow these steps to apply:

Phase 1:

As soon as you apply to UTSA, you will be able to apply to live on campus.

Log in to the UTSA Housing Portal using your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase. Select the application based on when you expect to live on campus. Complete the general application section to show interest in living on campus.

Phase 2:

Secure your housing spot by paying the application fee, signing the contract, and finding your roommate.

The earlier you secure housing: paying the application fee + signing the contract, the better your chances are to get your preferred space and roommate. Contracts are accepted on a rolling basis until all rooms are filled.

Note 1: If you are Pell Grant eligible, your application fee will be deferred to your ASAP account.
Note 2: If you select University Oaks as your preferred property, you will be redirected to Campus Living Villages, a third-party company that manages the University Oaks property on UTSA campus. They have a separate leasing and contract process.

Phase 3:

Choose the space that will be the best nest for you!

Once your spot has been secured, you may qualfy for room selection to choose your nest. Please make sure to check your UTSA student email for important dates, deadlines, and updates from UTSA Housing & Residence Life.
