As soon as you have applied to UTSA and have your myUTSA ID, you are encouraged to apply for on-campus housing. The UTSA housing application typically opens around November 1 for the following academic year. Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis (with the exception of Special Interest Housing communities). Follow these steps to apply:
Step 1:
As soon as you apply to UTSA, you will be able to apply to live on campus.
Log in to the UTSA Housing Portal using your myUTSA ID (abc123) and passphrase. Select the application based on when you expect to live on campus.
Step 2:
Complete all the steps, including paying the $100 housing application fee, and submit your application. Check the Housing Portal regularly for updates. The application process is phased over time.
Note 1: If you are Pell Grant eligible, your application fee will be deferred to your ASAP account.
Note 2: If you select University Oaks as your preferred property, you will be redirected to Campus Living Villages, a third-party company that manages the University Oaks property on UTSA campus. They have a separate leasing and contract process.
Step 3:
Once housing contracts become available for the semester you’ve applied for, you will receive an email at your UTSA email address prompting you to complete the housing contract.
The earlier you finalize your contract once it is available, the better your chances are to get your preferred space and roommate. Contracts are accepted on a rolling basis until all rooms are filled. Housing assignments are conducted on a weekly basis. Please make sure to check your UTSA student email for updates from UTSA Housing & Residence Life.
