UTSA currently offers six on-campus housing options for new and returning students

From traditional residence halls to apartment-style living, we offer multiple options to suit your needs. 

Alvarez Hall, Chaparral Village, Chisholm Hall, Guadalupe Hall and Laural Village are located on the UTSA Main Campus and are owned and operated by UTSA Housing and Residence Life. Blanco Hall to open Fall 2025!

While each living community is unique, there are a few things you can count on no matter where you live on campus, including:

  • Fully furnished units with utilities included,
  • Free, on-site laundry facilities,
  • On-site community kitchens, and
  • Shared amenities, including an outdoor and indoor pool, basketball and volleyball courts, and easy access to UTSA’s residential restaurant, the Roadrunner Café.
  • Last but not least, each property includes live-in staff such as Resident Assistants and Complex Coordinators whose jobs are to support the success and well-being of their residents.

UTSA Housing and Residence Life offers flexible leasing options where students can choose between living on campus the entire year, just the academic year, or just during the Spring or Summer terms.

Students can also live on campus at University Oaks, an apartment-style living community owned and managed by a company called Campus Living Villages.

Residential Meal Plans

Students living on campus with UTSA Housing and have under 48 credit hours, are required to purchase a meal plan. Students living with University Oaks are not required to purchase a meal plan, however it is recommended.
