Faculty, staff and campus partners are encouraged to volunteer for Fall 2026 Move-In

Move-in is one of the most important moments in a student's college journey, and UT San Antonio Housing and Residence Life is looking for faculty, staff and campus partner volunteers to help create an unforgettable welcome.
This year, the UT San Antonio community's support is especially important: move-in has been condensed to four days, Thursday through Sunday (Aug. 13-16). During this busy period, thousands of new and returning Roadrunners will arrive on Main Campus to move into their residence halls. Every additional set of hands helps ease the burden on campus infrastructure and ensure a positive experience for new residents and their families.
Volunteers will help in a variety of ways, including:
- Welcome students and families
- Assist with move-in bins
- Provide directions
- Keep unloading zones moving
- Share smiles, encouragement and the occasional high-five
Shifts run for 2.5 hours. Every volunteer receives a commemorative Move-In Crew T-shirt. Volunteers who work two shifts (five hours total) receive a voucher for a complimentary lunch at The Roadrunner Café, which can be used any day through Oct. 31.

To sign up as an individual volunteer, click "Register" to sign up for your preferred shift.
To sign up on behalf of a department or group:
- Click “Reserve.”
- Enter the number of volunteers.
- Provide the group coordinator's contact information.
Housing and Residence Life staff will reach out to group coordinators to finalize volunteer group rosters.
